Pass It On

After some reflection and prayer, Marissa, a student at Wayne State, called to say that she couldn’t complete her $100 student project and that she would be sending it back via Venmo. Luckily Venmo has a feature that allows us to refuse such payments! Through a couple phone calls we were able to talk with Marissa and pray with her during a turbulent time due to the pressures of this pandemic. We were also able to help her choose which ministry to send the $100 to instead of returning it. We are always trying to help students understand that God’s greatness comes when we give to the benefit of others, regardless of the size of those gifts. So, Marissa was able to feel like she did accomplish a project and Cass Community Social Services has $100 more to pursue their important work! - Motor City Wesley
